Artist's canvas is primed, hand painted, hand stenciled and sealed with a water-based varnish.

The placemats are easy to wipe clean and measure approximately 12" x 15".

The design showcases the stencil until covered by a dinner plate. Once the dinner plate is placed, the stencil design will not interfere with the plate's pattern.

Known as the Tree of Enchantment, the Willow is most often associated with the moon and water, linking and harmonizing to the lunar phases. It is the tree of dreaming, intuition and deep emotions rising and falling as the moon does in her course over the month. Symbolically, it belongs to the beginning of Spring, when all of life is stirring in the depths and begins to shoot outwards once again.
The Willow was also sacred to poets, for the sound of the wind through the Willow is said to have a potent influence on the mind which results in inspiration.
